Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is one of the most popular theme parks in Disney World, if not the world. It’s the face of Disney, and there’s so much to do it’s hard to narrow it down to the best things it has to offer. Here are just a few things that are definitely worth checking out at Magic Kingdom:
‘Astro Orbiter’ is the first ride to check out. It’s not particularly spectacular in itself, but the view from the top is amazing and so it is well worth getting in to one of those rockets. Perhaps give it a go when all the Magic Kingdom lights are on to really enhance the experience.
One of the newest attractions at Magic Kingdom is the ‘Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor’. It’s a very popular comedy show following the theme of monsters, with spectators watching from a theatre setting. There is maximum audience interaction and due to this, every single performance is unique.
One definite family favourite is the ‘Haunted Mansion’. You will be ushered into a cold and chilling house, and then ride for part of the attraction. Although the mansion itself is not particularly scary, the special effects are quite stunning and the kids are sure to love it. There’s no height limit either, as many of the other rides impose.
Make sure you visit the Mountains. The first of which, ‘Space Mountain’, is located in ‘Tomorrowland’. This will plunge you into darkness with only the glowing light from the stars and planets around you. The second mountain is ‘Splash Mountain’. This is in ‘Frontierland’ and you’ll be taken on a Disney style log ride down a river featuring many Disney characters. Both attractions are extremely popular so it would be a good idea to do a bit of research and find out when the best time to go to Disneyworld would be. There’s nothing worse than having to queue for hours and using up precious minutes.
Head down to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and you’re in for a treat even as you queue. If you’re a keen photographer then bring the camera along as well. You’ll ride on a boat with Captain Jack Sparrow, and the whole ride is very well done.
Not only are there rides at Magic Kingdom, there are also parades. The ‘SpectroMagic’ parade is worth a visit. It’s held early-night usually, and you should get there early as its one of the most popular parades at Disney and arguably the best.
Magic Kingdom is one of four theme parks at Disney World, but is by far the most iconic. Disneyworld Florida holidays should be bursting with fun for all the family and the Magic Kingdom rules above all else. It can take days to fully enjoy all the magic it has to offer and simply cannot miss it.
